  This is a basic overview of the working process Capital 10 Interiors can undertake when applying our kitchen design service to a project. During our initial meeting we will design a specific procedure for arranging these ideas: Our approach will reflect the unique circumstances surrounding our clients home life and characteristics of their site.
   This is where we meet our client in their home and get to know them, find out what they are hoping to gain from this experience, and if they have any questions about Capital 10 Interiors. We will then proceed to start the kitchen evaluation. This process may take 1.5 - 2 hours, maybe even longer for significantly larger projects. We will use our Home Evaluation Handbook to mark off items, ideas & measurements that apply to the project as well make additional notes as needed. Prior to this meeting, you may want to collect pictures and/or magazine pages that show us examples of what you would like. We discuss your preferences such as spatial usage, style, color schemes, general likes/dislikes, as well what service(s) are required to develop the space into your new unique environment. We also make recommendations on items that may be needed thoughout the home if needed.
Storage Solutions: For your Kitchen and Dining Room

  • Once we have established a working relationship the initial consultation fee can be deducted from the project.
  • We appreciate this initial payment made by cheque to Capital 10 Interiors and received before we begin our first consultation.
  • If, during our meeting, we go over the first hour a second cheque should be made to Capital 10 Interiors at that time unless it can be added to the total of a Kitchen Design Plan.
  • In our time together, please plan to avoid cell phone calls, children that need care, cooking projects, guests who stop by and any other distractions.

    We offer a simple 3 step process after your initial consultation


       As we develop concepts for kitchens, we consider what our clients want based on the way they live. A good starting point might be rough sketches of a Floor Plan, the most fundamental element in a set of drawings. Many basic decisions are made while considering a Floor Plan such as site orientation, room layout, wall placement, door types and swings, window types and sizes, electrical and plumbing fixtures, cabinets, and trim package.

       These are not firm decisions, only a way to TEASE ideas onto paper and begin to arrange our clients thoughts.
    Our concern will be not how to create drawings but to defining our clients lifestyle so they get the kitchen style they need.

       Before deciding on a design we make a list of those features they find most valuable to their own style of living. (Read the "Kitchen Plan Questionnaire" attached.) There is no standard procedure for arranging these ideas: Our approach will reflect the unique circumstances surrounding our client's home life and characteristics of their environment. Before the working 3D drawings can begin, the clients must approve one conceptual drawing (maximum 3 floor plans only).

       Clients who have a scaled working kitchen plan and just want a 3D drawing can skip this step but will not receive the following.

    • A birds-eye view layout of the room we are working on with guidelines on what type of appliances or furniture would best suit the area
    • Paint color selected for the same room (include wall, ceiling, trim, door colors)
    • A list of conceptual items that would look great in a specific space (if needed)
    • We may also help with fabric for curtains, upholstering furniture if requested, and lighting
    • Minor Renovation suggestions
      Accessory & Art suggestions
    • Free Painting quote from our painter if required (to be booked at another time)
    • Estimate for potential future work if needed (shopping for decorating items, renovations, painting, etc)

      Clients Get:
      Not Included:A list of working items and materials in a specific space/ legwork/selection/purchasing.
      Step 2: 3D Working Drawings

      • A working sites plan
      • A complete room layout for the kitchen we are working on
      • A birds-eye view of the room we are working on
      • A front & side profile of the room we are working on
      • Any other angles requested for the room we are working on
      • A minimum charge of 2 hours is applicable to all designs at $60.00 per hours
      • Additional hours will be billed at $30.00 per hour up to 5 hours.
      • Further hours will be billed at a rate of $25.00 per hour.
        Custom islands generally require additional hours.
         Notes:Clients can decide to purchase as many kitchen drawing in 3D as required. Usually, 1 plan is ideal but       some clients may want 2 full kitchen models for their personal review
      Clients Get:
      Hourly Rates:
      • 1 set of minor revisions are included for all kitchen designs, if required.
      • Additional revisions will be billed at $60.00 per hour
      Step #3: Finishing Up & Revisions
      After All Is Done:

         If you require additional support following the above process, arrangements can be made. Some of the services we can provide are as follows:
